Featuring former Demiricous vocalist Nate Olp, Kvlthammer slayed for 20 minutes before Olp introduced a song he described as "The Main Jam." All of this band's no-holds-barred material is worthy of "main" status, and the show concluded with a fitting cover of Metallica's "Whiplash." During the day's final performance at Indy CD & Vinyl, Kvlthammer supplied everything you want in a metal band and nothing you don't.Even without the entertaining visual presentation (and stage banter centered on Tinder and problematic body hair), Adams and his band mates specialize in infectious pop masterpieces such as "Findings of Feeling, Finding of Fact" and "The Bright Line." The combined effect is irresistible, with Adams approximating soft-shoe dancing in between visits to his micro keyboard stationed on a storage-container lid. Bloomington's Adams combines the rock 'n' roll evangelism of Guided By Voices' Bob Pollard and the earnest musicality of Jay Farrar (Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt).
